Services & Techniques

At Fischer Health & Rehabilitation, we take great pride in providing a complete healthcare facility.

Chiropractic Care
We provide advanced spinal correction utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer correction methods are safe, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. Dr. David Fischer has years of training and experience in spinal adjusting.

To complement and enhance the healing effects of our specific Chiropractic manipulative treatment, Fischer Health & Rehabilitation has added a 200 square foot entire wing devoted to physical therapy. Our trained Physical Therapy staff can provide the following physiological therapeutic procedures:

  • Laser Therapy
  • Interferential Electrical Muscle Stimulation
  • Microamperage Neural Stimulations
  • Mechanical Traction / Decompression
  • Graston
  • Neuromuscular Therapy
  • Spinal & Moist Heat Therapy
  • Ultrasound
  • Therapeutic Exercises
  • Cryotherapy

Feet are your foundation-whether you are man, woman or child. Strong, well-functioning feet and ankles are essential for support and balance. Having incredibly dynamic feet is great until something with them goes wrong. The smallest imbalance in your feet shows up as larger problems up above-in your knees, hips, back, and/or neck.  Thus, a misaligned foot leads to a misaligned hip and/or back and/or neck. Custom molded orthotics are often recommended to help relieve postural pain and misalignment where necessary. Dr. Fischer is able to custom fit patients with orthotics right here at Fischer Health & Rehabilitation during a routine office visit.

NCV and EMG Testing
NCV and EMG tests are used to detect the cause of muscle weakness, numbness, spasms, paralysis, or pain. The NCV and EMG tests can determine if the problem involves the nerves, muscles, spinal cord, or brain. NCV/EMG testing help in the diagnosis of:

  • Pinched nerves and inflamed muscles due to injury, a ruptured disk, disease, or other radicular conditions.
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome--pressure on the major nerve going into the hand causing pain and weakness of the wrist and hand.
  • Primary muscle disorders such as muscular dystrophy (a disease causing certain muscles to waste away).
  • Nerve disorders such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease).

Personal Training & Corrective Exercises
Our personal trainers are available to motivate our clients by setting reasonable goals and providing feedback that will end with results. We will educate you in many other aspects of wellness besides exercise, including general health and nutrition guidelines. We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

Therapeutic Massage
Massage Therapy can be a powerful ally in any healthcare regimen. In combination with Chiropractic care, massage is a great way to help our patients attain the highest level of wellness possible, by reducing one of the greatest factors in disease process--stress. Massage can be advantageous to health in many ways, including reducing spasms and cramping, increasing joint flexibility, promoting tissue regeneration, lessening depression and anxiety, increasing circulation and reducing fatigue, especially when using the fascia blaster. Come visit our talented Massage Therapist, Sophie, to see how massage can help you!

Acupuncture improves the body's functions and promotes the natural self-healing process by stimulating specific anatomic sites-- commonly referred to as acupuncture points, or acupoints. The most common method used to stimulate acupoints is the insertion of fine, sterile needles into the skin and both Michelle and Shu Min are fabulous at it!

Lifestyle Advice and Ergonomic Education
We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most. We recognize that each our patient is a whole person, and help them reach true health and wellness is a collaborate effort between our professionals and our patients.

  • An Apple a Day . . .

What is so good about an apple? Is it the color, ranging from ruby red to pale pink? Is it the crunch? The sweetness? Or is it, instead, a combination of all of these qualities, plus the natural goodness derived from the apple's secret ingredients — phytonutrients? If this were a multiple choice quiz, the answer would be "all of the above". Importantly, in addition to possessing numerous appealing physical qualities, apples contain an abundance of health-promoting biochemicals known as phytonutrients.1,2 These specific organic molecules are derived not only from apples but many other fresh fruits and vegetables, and help power the immune system, protect against cancer, maintain healthy eyes, and assist cells in clearing out metabolic waste products such as free radicals. ...
